Use of Expired Medical Supplies  
I am interested to find documentation from a reputable source which provides information on the use of expired medical supplies (i.e., endotracheal tubes, yankeur suction, suction tubing, etc.). I would like to know if these plastic-type products break down, if their integrity is compromised after their recommended expiration dates, and if it is actually suitable to use these types of products after the recommended expiration dates?

A reputable source would not make recommendations on the use of expired medical supplies. Most manufacturers of medical supplies have an expiration date that assures the integrity of the product performance, sterility, etc. We recommend that these type of products should be purchased new from an authorized distributor and used before the expired date.
