Which Portable Oxygen Concentrator Is the best?

Postby Oxygen Man » Mon Mar 29, 2010 6:51 pm

There are many portable oxygen concentrators on the market today. Personally I feel the Respironics Evergo is going to be your best bet with a POC (Portable Oxygen Concentrator). It gives 8 hours of battery life, 9lbs, and is one of the most reliable and most durable oxygen concentrators today. When you are looking for Portable oxygen concentrators always make sure that you know what you need, meaning continuous or pulse flow! If you have any questions feel free to post I'll be happy to answer any questions!

According to me Invacare Perfecto is the best concentrator. It is most durable and reliable one, I think it is the smallest ,lightest ,smallest and more energy efficient concentrator.Even it consumes less power.

The Respironics Evergo is a good portable oxygen concentrator. It has a weight of only 8.5 pounds and operates for 4 hours on the battery at setting 2. However, it comes with only a 2 year warranty and only provides pulse oxygen dose.

The Invacare Solo 2 has a three year warranty and provides almost twice the pulse oxygen dose as well as 3 LPM continuous flow. However, it only last 2.6 hours on the battery at setting 2 and weighs over twice the amount of the Evergo.

The Sequal Eclipse 3 also provides a 3 LPM continuous oxygen flow and has a 3 hour battery life at setting 2.

If higher doses of oxygen are necessary, the Invacare Solo 2 or the Sequal Eclipse 3 are better choices. If weight is the primary concern, then the Evergo or the Invacare XPO2 (weighing a pound less than the Evergo and with a 5 year warranty) are both excellent choices.

Well I'll prefer The Sequal Eclipse as It is one of the only portables that can be used 24/7. In addition to this the Sequal Eclipse will work in your room and you can take it on the go without worrying about tanks. The only thing that is required to do is to have enough batteries so you can spend hours away from a plug.
