Choosing a medical scale comes down to preference. Medical scales come in different sizes and styles with many different features. The classic is a standard (upright) mechanical bar scale that measures weight using a sliding calibrator. There are also digital scales that not only weigh the user but give other valuable information such as your body mass index or body fat %. Most digital scales lay flat and come with an LCD display. Most digital scales are very accurate but the physicians bar scale in most cases are the most accurate.
