Great Price, Too Heavy!

| This item was reordered 2 x's , both times it was badly packed and arrived with broken armrests. Also the wrong color was sent both times. The wheels were also very stiff. It is also too heavy and awkward to be used as an easy fold transport char. The return process was fast, however the credit to my account took over 2 weeks. Go for the aluminum model with the slanted armrests, it is worth the additional cost. |

Received my chair, via UPS Hawaii delivery today. Very fast shipping, indeed.
Thank goodness for Free Super Saver Shipping!
Quite suitable for around the home since it fits thru 30" doors very nicely. Overall quality rated at 8.5 as compared to my Invacare wheelchair, but worth the deal I got,
Would recommend this chair (23" width) for home/outside use. Noted a lower price now, still it's a good buy.

I got this wheelchair for my mother because she just had a hip replacement (with a knee replacement to follow in a few months) and cannot walk long distances, even with her walker. Her car doesn't have enough room for her "regular" wheelchair, and she cannot get into my car that is big enough to fit her regular wheelchair into. I opted to get this one because we won't be totally dependent on it and will probably put it away after she has healed from her surgeries, so we didn't need an overly pricey model.
We are pleased with this transport wheelchair, especially for the price. It seems sturdy enough, and it is ready to use right out of the box. The quality really is better than we were expecting from a so-called "economy" model, and the chair is comfortable.
Now, for the cons. I got the 17" model and it definitely weighs more than advertised. That isn't really an issue for me, because I have also had to lift several "regular" wheelchairs, but that might be important to others. The other complaint I have about it is that I had a terrible time trying to adjust the footrests because they were set too short when the wheelchair came out of the box. It was almost impossible to get the bolt on the end loose.
All in all, like I said before, this is an excellent wheelchair for the price. I think someone who has bigger mobility issues might want to opt for a pricier model, though. |
heavy transport wheelchair

| From the other reviews and the price, I was looking forward to this transport wheelchair but I was not happy with it. It was heavy and the back support on the right was broken. I tried to snap it on but it would not hold. This could have seriously injured my disabled dad. The worse part was trying to put all the materials back into the box and ship it. I will pay more for a better and defintely lighter transfer chair. |

| It was shipped and received in excellent condition. Great quality for our needs - transporting to and from doctor appointments, or when traveling long distances. Easy to add attachments and stores nicely in trunk. It was well worth the price and handles great. |

| This transport chair is a good compromise between light weight and sturdy construction. It is really easy to fold up and is light enough to easily lift into a car. Just what we wanted and at the right price. |
Served its purpose

I bought this for my mom who visited me for about a month. I wanted her to be able to do some sightseeing without having to cut her outings short due to her arthritis pain. By and large, that purpose was met. The price was right, the chair folded and fit inside the (small) trunk of my car and was light enough for me to lift in and out without much trouble.
The three stars are however due to the following reasons:
1. The seatbelt was missing. Since my mom was due to arrive the next day, I couldn't return it. I tried calling the seller (Amazon itself) but didn't get any help and finally gave up.
2. One of the foldaway footrests would keep coming loose and we'd have to stop several times a day to push it back into position so mom could keep both feet comfortably supported.
3. "Convenient carry pocket" was also missing.
4. The wheels started showing signs of fraying towards the end of the first month of use itself.
All in all, if this were a permanent requirement, I would be hopping mad right now. However, since I didn't need to use it for more than a month, it just about served. |

| Thought it would be a little heavy but is light enough to lift into my car. Lets me take my mother-in-law to places that it would previously be impossible to take her to. Overall, a good item to buy. |
Lightweight and easy to set up.

| This chair is much lighter weight than a regular wheel chair and takes up so much less room in the trunk of my car. Also, the height of the handles is higher than a regular wheelchair which is much better for me because I'm tall. I don't find myself unconsciously stooping as with the lower handles. I would buy another transport chair for these reasons. |
