I has given Freestyle Glucose Meter for free from my doctor and being new at this I had no clue. Unlike most of you, I do not inject the lancet into my finger, I just poke it, it gives me enough blood.
I called and asked about accuracy, and they told me if I test it and it is in range, then it’s fine…well, right now I am on the fence with that one.
Went to an Endrocronlogist this afternoon and he gave me the Accu-Check Compact Plus and told me after I ate, I should test in two hours. and to use both meters to see the difference.
Freesyle gave me a reading of 151
Accu-Chek gave me 119, now that is a huge difference.
I then went on to test it with the solution and each one of them tested within range…now what?
My A1C came back as 5.9 and Doc told me so far I am normal but test strips will tell the story, how will he know which one is right?
